Transgender people face extraordinary levels of both physical and sexual violence, at work, home, school, and at the hands of government. More than one in four trans people has faced a bias-driven assault with higher rates for trans women and trans people of color.
Continued support is needed to provide public education, fuel policy change and coordinate community efforts to address the causes of anti-trans violence.
